Introduction to Sodium Fluoride Mineral Processing

YIGYOOLY Sodium fluoride is mainly used in ore dressing. It’s beneficiation is a commonly used industrial beneficiation method, which is based on the principles of oxidation-reduction reaction and surfactant action.

In the process of sodium fluoride beneficiation, mineral powders containing metal sulfides are first mixed with a mixture of iron oxide, calcium carbonate, etc., and then added to a sodium hydroxide solution with a concentration of 10% to 20%. Subsequently, a stirring reaction was carried out under high temperature and pressure, resulting in the conversion of sulfur elements into soluble sulfate ions and the reduction of metal elements.

Next, after filtration, washing, and other treatments, the resulting solid precipitate is mixed with aluminum hydroxide or other surfactants with a concentration of 5% to 10%. These additives can be adsorbed on the surface of solid particles to form a stable and evenly dispersed foam structure, and can change the water solid interfacial tension and improve the duration of foam. Finally, through air flow or mechanical oscillation, the foam with the target metal ions rises from the bottom and gathers to the top, thus realizing the purpose of YIGYOOLY sodium fluoride beneficiation.
